Indian wedding- Sangeet ceremony ideas

Nowadays Sangeet night is a ceremony for all Indian weddings. The Wedding couple, their families and friends all wait eagerly for this ceremony. Generally Sangeet ceremony can be combined with the Mehndi ceremony. Sangeet is lot of masti with music, dance and dhamaal !!

Traditionally only the women supposed to celebrate this ceremony but nowadays the concept has changed as both men and women participate in the celebration.

Here are some latest trends or ideas to celebrate Sangeet night..

1. Group dance or couple dance on latest bollywood songs- You can choreograph dances on latest bollywood songs and for that you can learn some dance moves from the  choreographer.

2. Skit competitions for couples- You can plan some skit topics and ask each couple to prepare and present a small skit on that topic. Performance will be timed forsay, 1 min. Also you can select a bollywood scene as a skit topic.

3. Bring entertainers for your wedding- You can bring professional performers to the sangeet such as magician, folk music or folk dancer, laser show or some music band.

4. Story- Prepare array of songs and set wedding couple story on these songs that how they met, how was their journey till that time, their love story and ask wedding couple and their families to perform on those songs.
This is an innovative idea which will build excitement and interest among the attendees.

5. Fashion Show- As a fun part within your family, you can setup a fashion show. think of having small ramp floor and also a Bollywood song in the background like "Marjawan..tere ishq tale.."  or there could be many songs. Small competition within your family and friends would be great fun!!

6. Interactive games-  You can play some interactive games such as musical chair or something like you can ask your guest to stand up and tell a story, or share a memory, about either their wife/husband or about you (bride/groom).
